We started with a 10-rack pilot to test SkyAcres for ourselves before committing to anything bigger, and we have been happy with how it has gone. Day to day it has been light: I spend about 30 minutes a week on it, the plants have grown quickly and evenly, and our first harvest is close. Based on the first few weeks, I would be comfortable running more of these, and I can see how it scales into more of our space.
I first heard of SkyAcres on Dragon’s Den and was impressed with their presentation. Since I live in Prince Edward Island and they are based in British Columbia, I thought shipping would be expensive, but was surprised to find it was very reasonable. The system was easy to assemble and had an easy-to-follow video. The staff, Asmehar Singh in particular, have been available to answer any questions I’ve had about the system and the different plants that can be grown.
