Your off-season just became in-season.
Get SkyAcresThe farm shows up on wheels.
SkyAcres is a Drop-In indoor farm: a 3-level growing module on wheels that plugs into a standard outlet. About six feet tall on 4.5 square feet of floor. No plumbing, no pumps, no HVAC retrofit.
Built for growers who already have everything, except SkyAcres.
Drop-In indoor farms for the cold storage rooms, packhouses, and barns farmers already own.

Design choices you can feel in the field.
One module earns about $2,600 a year at roughly 40% margin on top crops such as basil. A 5,000 sq ft room holds hundreds of modules.
Pump-free at the root.
SkyAcres wicks nutrient solution up a felt pad by capillary action and turns it to mist with a piezoelectric atomizer. No pumps, no plumbing, no spray nozzles to clog. That removes the parts that break most on a conventional system, which means lower maintenance and no central irrigation loop to fail.

Each rack stands alone.
Every 3-level growing module runs its own root zone and mixes its own feed. Nothing is shared between racks. A problem on one rack stays on one rack, which keeps failures contained and makes GAP and HACCP traceability straightforward.

No building HVAC.
The hardware runs in unconditioned space. When a room cannot hold its setpoint, an ~$800 microclimate kit conditions the 12-rack zone instead of the whole building. That is the difference between a pilot you can start this month and a retrofit you cannot afford.

Pest control that ships in the box.
Beneficial insects come built into every system. On-rack cameras watch the canopy and release predators like ladybugs and lacewings the moment they spot a problem. No chemical residue, no spray schedule, the same hands-off loop at one rack or a thousand.

Solutions tailored to your scale.
The same Drop-In system, whether you roll in two modules or two hundred.

In their words
Pilot customers, unscripted.
We started with a 10-rack pilot to test SkyAcres for ourselves before committing to anything bigger, and we have been happy with how it has gone. Day to day it has been light: I spend about 30 minutes a week on it, the plants have grown quickly and evenly, and our first harvest is close. Based on the first few weeks, I would be comfortable running more of these, and I can see how it scales into more of our space.
I first heard of SkyAcres on Dragon’s Den and was impressed with their presentation. Since I live in Prince Edward Island and they are based in British Columbia, I thought shipping would be expensive, but was surprised to find it was very reasonable. The system was easy to assemble and had an easy-to-follow video. The staff, Asmehar Singh in particular, have been available to answer any questions I’ve had about the system and the different plants that can be grown.
